Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 13, 2026
Thank you for using Gwansik's apps! This Privacy Policy describes:
- The ways we collect personal data about you and why we do so
- How we use your personal data, and
- The choices you have about your personal data.
Platform-neutral approach. This Privacy Policy applies to Gwansik's apps (including Emilia), websites and related services (collectively, the “Service”) on any platform (including iOS and Android). We design our privacy practices primarily based on the intended audience of the app (for example, children vs. general audience), rather than the platform.
Kids Apps (children). For apps that are designated for children (“Kids Apps”), we do not show third-party advertising and we do not share personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We also do not use third-party analytics in Kids Apps, except where strictly necessary for security, fraud prevention, crash diagnostics, legal compliance, or core service delivery. This applies regardless of platform (iOS or Android). Where platform-specific policies impose additional requirements, we comply with those policies.
We may periodically update this Privacy Policy by posting a new version on Gwansik.com. Changes become effective upon posting, unless a later effective date is stated. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by posting a notice in the Service prior to the change becoming effective, where required by law. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date will be subject to the new Privacy Policy.

Who can see your data
Apart from Gwansik, your data can be accessed by others in the following situations:
Other users.
If the Service includes social features, other users may see profile data you choose to make visible, your activities within those features, and messages you have posted.
Service providers (partners working for Gwansik).
Gwansik uses service providers to perform services for us. These providers process your data only at and according to Gwansik’s instructions to provide the Service, such as hosting, user support, payments/subscriptions, crash diagnostics, analytics (for non-Kids apps), and fraud prevention.
Legal compliance and public authorities.
We may disclose your data to comply with the law, to respond to lawful requests, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our users or others.
Advertising and Social Media partners (non-Kids apps only).
For apps that are not designated as Kids Apps, the Service may include features from partners, such as social media interaction tools and advertising technology. These partners may access your data and operate under their own privacy policies.
International data transfers
Our Service is global by nature and your data can therefore be transferred to anywhere in the world. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the EU Commission (or equivalent mechanisms).

Opt-out of marketing emails and other direct marketing.
You may opt-out of receiving promotional communications, such as marketing emails from us by following the instructions in such communications.
Opt-out of targeted advertising (non-Kids apps only).
For advertising and personalized in-app offers opt-out (where available), you can use the options provided in the app settings and your device privacy settings.
Access the personal data we hold about you.
If you request, we will provide you a copy of your personal data in an electronic format, where required by applicable law.
Your other rights.
You may have the right to correct your data, have your data deleted, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw your consent (where applicable). We will respond to requests within a reasonable timeframe and as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests. Certain data may be retained where necessary for legitimate business purposes or legal obligations (see “Data retention” below). In some jurisdictions, we may refuse or charge a reasonable fee for requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive, as permitted by law.
Cookies and similar technologies
Like most online services, we and our partners may use cookies and similar technologies to provide and personalize the Service, analyse use, prevent fraud, and (for non-Kids apps only) deliver and measure advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the Service may then not function properly.
How do we protect your data
Security Safeguards.
In order to help ensure a secure and safe user experience, we continuously develop and implement administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or against loss, misuse or alteration.
Data retention.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. We may de-identify or delete data that is no longer needed for the purposes described in this Policy. If you ask us to delete your personal data, we will take reasonable steps to do so, subject to our legitimate business interests and legal obligations (for example, to comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements). Backups may persist for a limited period of time, after which they are overwritten or deleted in accordance with our backup cycles.
Children / age information
We take children’s privacy seriously. For Kids Apps, we do not require children to provide personal information beyond what is reasonably necessary to operate the app. We do not target interest-based advertising to children in Kids Apps, and we do not collect advertising identifiers for Kids Apps. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child in a manner that is not permitted by applicable law, we will delete it as quickly as reasonably possible. If you believe that we might have any data from or about a child, please contact us at gwansik@gwansik.com.
