Whether we like it or not, whether in a positive or negative direction, technological changes have changed human culture, institutions, and laws.

In today's era, laser technology has advanced tremendously, but the culture, institutions, and laws related to lasers are not keeping up. Lasers can already destroy metal missiles, so wouldn't humans be attacked by lasers? Technically, it is very easy to attack humans with lasers, and there are many people who complain about the damage, but the majority of the public is still not even aware of the problem of laser attacks against humans.

In the near future, there will be incidents where influential politicians and conglomerates are assassinated with lasers.
